Mimosa recently took part in the First Aid Zonal Competitions held at Blanket Mine, where its First Aid Teams delivered an impressive performance, securing first place in the Surface category and second place in the Underground category. The competition featured nine mining companies along with the Zimbabwe School of Mines.

The First Aid Competition is an annual event designed to assess how well industry players are prepared to respond to emergencies, both on mine sites and beyond. At Mimosa, First Aid remains a top safety priority, forming a crucial part of our emergency response framework.

The Mimosa teams stood out for their strong showing across several key areas, including their quick response times, accurate assessment of injuries, and overall team coordination. These are essential skills in ensuring effective first-line treatment during unforeseen incidents, whether they involve physical injury or psychological trauma.

Mimosa now progresses to the Finals, scheduled for September 2025 at Shamva Gold Mine.

Congratulations to Team Mimosa on this outstanding achievement, and we wish them continued success at the upcoming finals.
