Livestock Revitalisation Programme

Mimosa introduced a livestock revitalisation programme with a two-pronged approach i.e the breeding bulls and artificial insemination (AI) initiative. The main objective being to improve cattle genetics and subsequently improve the livestock herd within communal farming areas in Zvishavane and Mberengwa districts and ultimately improving livelihoods. Well over 500 bulls and heifers were donated to rural communities in the two districts. The receiving communities have already started realizing the benefits of this project through the birth of better offspring.
